Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Director to lead complex, global oncology programs within a CRO setting. You will provide senior-level project leadership, financial oversight, and process improvements across a portfolio of studies, mentoring junior PMs and driving program-level strategies.

The role emphasizes client-facing leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and accountability for timelines, budgets, and quality across trial delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years clinical research experience or equivalent
• 5+ years direct PM experience in clinical research, CRO preferred
• Proven leadership of complex global studies/portfolios
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead global oncology trial programs and portfolios with financial oversight
• Mentor project managers and lead bid defenses and client meetings
• Oversee study budgets, forecasting, and change orders
• Ensure quality management and inspection readiness across studies
• Develop robust project plans with risk management strategies
• Communicate project status to sr management and sponsors
• Travel domestically and internationally as required
