Job summary

SES Space & Defense is seeking a Technician, Global NOSC to manage, monitor, and maintain communications equipment and networks, troubleshoot remote user and hub issues, and perform activations, transitions, and restoration of services.

You will work with customers to resolve problems, provide real-time status, and ensure SLA targets, with 24/7 shift availability and the potential for travel; a DOD Secret clearance is required or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

3-5 years’ technical experience in Networking, IT, or satellite telecommunications.
Experience with satellite communications equipment and related systems.
Ability to troubleshoot satellite/data problems remotely, over the phone or via e-mail.
Willingness to work in a 24/7/365 shift environment.
DOD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and restore remote access problems and maintain satellite communications.
Assist end users in accessing the satellite.
Isolate and restore service to customer networks.
Provide real-time status on network traffic.
Coordinate activations, transitions and restoration of services.
Escalate complex issues to Senior Technician, Global NOC when necessary.
Maintain records and provide reporting per standards.
