Job summary

SES is seeking a Technician in Teleport Operations to perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, and routine repair of electronic equipment. You will support 24x7 shift operations, monitor alarms, and prepare reports on status changes.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, ITAR/EAR compliance as a US Person, and strong English and PC skills. Responsibilities include turn-up of services, basic maintenance, and escalation to senior staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or equivalent technical education in Electronic Communications.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to work in a 24x7 shift environment and be available for on-call.
• Basic knowledge of Satellite Earth Station technologies related to Teleport Operations.
• General knowledge of HVAC, UPS, electrical switchgear and generating systems.
• RF theory and basic electronics understanding.
• Interest in learning new technologies in Satellite Communications.
• Good organizational and team player skills.
• Fluency in English and basic PC skills (Office Suite).
• US Person status due to ITAR/EAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance and routine repair of equipment.
• Provide level 1 maintenance and support; assist in level 2 maintenance training.
• Monitor system alarms and report deficiencies affecting reliability or efficiency.
• Prepare documentation, reports and updates for service status changes.
• Assist with documentation and coordination during fault/restoral activities.
