Job summary

Helmerich & Payne seeks a Head of Market Intelligence to lead our global market, commercial and competitive intelligence. This leader will establish our single source of truth for external data, translate signals into decision-ready insights, and partner across FP&A, Investor Relations, and Strategy.

You will own models, dashboards, forecasts and scenarios for planning, investor relations and commercial teams, and drive AI-enabled research with rigorous validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, data analytics or a related discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.
• 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Deep understanding of rig markets and the drivers of drilling demand, supply, utilization and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of H&P's global market and competitive intelligence agenda.
• Create and maintain integrated market models, dashboards, forecasts, scenarios and recurring intelligence products.
• Host and lead the weekly Global Commercial Intelligence call with cross-regional input.
• Organize executive leadership and Board briefings on market conditions and strategic themes.
• Build macro house views across priority topics and ensure data quality and governance.
• Partner with FP&A, Investor Relations and Strategy to embed intelligence in forecasts and decisions.
• Support investor communications with market context and analysis.
• Manage enterprise data subscriptions and external research relationships.
• Apply AI to accelerate research while ensuring source validation and confidentiality.
