Meta is seeking an Analyst in Competitive Intelligence to translate data insights into strategic product decisions. You will operate at the intersection of analytics, data science, and market strategy, delivering high-impact analyses on major product areas.

You will lead data-driven narratives, develop statistical models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape analytical foundations and inform business directions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of work experience in business intelligence, product analytics, or economic/strategy consulting in a technology environment with increasing scope and impact
• Demonstrated ability to ethically source, validate, and synthesize high-signal insights from people while maintaining privacy, consent, and integrity
• Proficiency in Generative AI technologies and experience designing, prompting, and orchestrating AI systems to automate data analyses, synthesize insights, and execute multi-step analytical tasks
• Practical working understanding of data-analytics tools and direct experience managing, analyzing, manipulating and interpreting 1P and external 3P datasets
• Experience with data querying languages (SQL), scripting languages (Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (R)
• Experience with statistical analysis including causal inference and Bayesian aggregation and ability to communicate complex findings to stakeholders
• Demonstrated communication skills and experience presenting complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Thrives in ambiguous environments and shaping new analytics organizations or products

Responsibilities

• Influence organization-level product direction through data-driven narratives and a deep understanding of the competitive landscape
• Operate at scale across ambiguous environments with working knowledge of econometrics
• Blend practical and applied understanding with technical expertise to test data quality and reveal biases
• Conduct analyses with 3P datasets, develop statistical models and forecasts, and deliver actionable insights
• Data onboarding: identify, onboard, and evaluate 3P datasets for signal-to-noise and predictive power
• Triangulate data from multiple sources of imperfect information and synthesize into high-fidelity trend reports using Bayesian methods
• Apply quasi-experimental designs to isolate the impact of market shocks and competitor actions on internal metrics
• Drive adoption of robust methodologies and best practices across the analytics organization
