Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Strategic Sales Director in Edison, New Jersey to drive growth across global forwarding clients. You will lead hunting for new opportunities, develop mid-to-large accounts, and deliver tailored logistics solutions across air and ocean freight.

Responsibilities include managing the full sales cycle, building client relationships, coordinating onboarding, and aligning with DHL’s strategies. Strong experience in international logistics and a BA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• 0-3 years of Sales Experience (international logistics sales preferred).
• Proven success in new business acquisition.
• Knowledge of international commercial transportation (air and ocean freight).
• Bachelor degree desired.
• Experience managing medium to large, complex customer accounts.

Responsibilities

• Win, retain and develop medium/large-sized business customers through sales hunting activities.
• Recommend tailored solutions based on customer needs using industry knowledge.
• Deliver proposals, quotations, and bids addressing customer pain points and growth ambitions.
• Build rapport with SBC accounts and understand their business and market dynamics.
• Coordinate onboarding of new clients, including credit setup and rate loading.
• Align sales efforts with regional and product strategies.
• Maintain a personal sales plan focused on new business acquisition and revenue growth.
• Update CRM daily with all activities.
