Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Agent Gateway (Import / Export) to organize optimal transport for local and international clients, mainly air, while managing documentation, pricing, and supplier relations.

You’ll work with internal teams to ensure on-time shipments and proactive service, supporting continuous improvement and policy adherence. The role involves handling customs, carrier bookings, invoicing, and coordination with global partners, with a focus on safe,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Air Freight Forwarder.
• Able to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment.
• High attention to detail is essential.
• Fluent oral and written English is required.
• Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Office) preferred.
• CargoWise software experience is a plus.
• ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA regulations experience/knowledge.
• VGB security clearance or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Research and plan the most appropriate shipment route.
• Prepare and check documentation for customs and compliance.
• Coordinate with third parties per customer requirements.
• Assist clients in case of claims.
• Maintain visibility and control through shipments and cost analysis.
• Complete customs formalities or subcontracting services.
• Prepare files for invoicing and billing.
• Coordinate schedules with cartage agents and partners.
• Communicate issues to customers and partners across stations.
• Ensure SOPs, KPIs, and damage prevention guidelines are followed.
• Ensure shipments are billed within timelines.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and dangerous goods rules.
• Flag unsafe conditions and suggest improvements.
