Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a General Manager to lead a designated operation, directing strategy, operations, compliance, and financial results while serving as the primary client interface for proposals and contracts.

The GM will champion continuous improvement, LEAN practices, supply chain analysis, Six Sigma initiatives, and ISO activities, and will help develop marketing plans and grow new business. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7 years’ experience in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in logistics/distribution/supply chain environment in operations management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategy, operations, compliance, and financial results for the operation.
• Champion continuous improvement: LEAN, Six Sigma, and ISO initiatives.
• Develop marketing plans and assist in growing new business.
• Ensure safety, security, and adherence to client and contract requirements.
• Develop and manage annual operating budget and cost controls.
