Job summary

BTX Global Logistics in Shelton, CT is seeking an International Operations Manager to lead the global freight forwarding operations unit, including customer service, compliance, SOP development, KPI management, and profitability alignment with strategic goals.

Reporting to the Station Manager, you will develop the team, collaborate across operating units, engage with clients as needed, and drive operational excellence through data-driven decisions and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive operations leadership in international freight forwarding or logistics.
• Experience leading an operations department or business unit in international freight forwarding.
• Experience with air and ocean freight imports/exports.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the International Operations team to ensure service quality and performance.
• Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Establish, monitor, analyze, and report KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Sales to support new business and client onboarding.
• Analyze client satisfaction and performance data to identify trends and improvements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs across business lines and accounts.
• Optimize staffing, workload management, and performance oversight.
• Prepare and present departmental reports and updates to senior leadership.
