Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in the United States seeks a General Manager to oversee operations, compliance, and financial results for a designated site. You will serve as primary interface for proposals and contracts and champion lean, Six Sigma, and ISO initiatives.

The role leads manpower, budget planning, safety programs, and customer service excellence, building marketing plans and growing new business while aligning with corporate mission and values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Budgeting and P&L management experience required.
• At least 3 years of experience in an operations management related position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manpower recruitment, retention and development of staff.
• Ensure procedures exist at all sites for client service, productivity, and maintenance.
• Set goals to drive continuous improvement across the operation.
• Maintain overall safety and security of assigned operations and staff.
• Support and oversee safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Develop teams to meet client objectives and mentor management staff.
• Plan and implement automation and technology to service the client; monitor WMS trends.
• Partner with leadership to develop the annual operating budget and manage cost, revenue and profit targets.
• Act as site-level champion of client relationships and monitor KPIs.
