Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Pflugerville, USA, seeks a General Manager to lead operations, compliance and financial results for a designated site. This leadership role interfaces with customers for proposals and contracts, and champions lean, ISO and Six Sigma initiatives.

The GM will develop marketing plans, grow new business, ensure adherence to corporate mission, and drive continuous improvement, safety, budgeting and performance KPIs across the operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Budgeting and P&L management experience required.
• At least 3 years of experience in an operations management related position.
• 4-Year College Degree preferred, will consider equivalent experience or combination of education and experience.
• Prefer 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in a logistics/distribution/supply chain environment in an operations management capacity.
• 3PL management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manpower, recruiting, retention and development for the operation.
• Ensure procedures exist to guarantee client service, productivity, facilities and equipment maintenance.
• Set goals to provide continuous improvement for the site.
