Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, USA is seeking a General Manager of Operations to oversee the site, align with corporate strategy, and drive safe, efficient performance. You will manage profitability, lead continuous improvement, and interact with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality logistics services.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure adherence to safety standards and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 7 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in logistics/distribution/supply chain environment in operations management capacity.
• Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic direction, operation, compliance, and financial results for a designated operation.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma initiatives and ISO activities.
• Develop marketing plans and assist in growing new business.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the operation.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and pricing contracts.
• Foster productive relations with vendors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Lead and develop site teams to meet performance, safety, and quality goals.
