Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a Logistics Manager to direct end-to-end material movement, shipping, receiving, and dock operations across domestic and international transportation networks. You will oversee freight spend, carrier selection, and 3PL partnerships while ensuring safety, accuracy, and cost-efficiency in every shipment.

You will lead the Shipping and Receiving team, coordinate with the Stockroom Manager on interfacility transfers, and drive continuous improvement in transport planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible logistics, transportation, or distribution experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS.
• Experience leading shipping, receiving, transportation, or fleet personnel.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international freight, carrier management, and customs documentation.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and freight reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze freight costs, negotiate rates, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and urgent production needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shipping, receiving, and dock activities.
• Manage freight spend, carrier management, and 3PL relationships.
• Oversee transportation planning for domestic and international shipments.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Stockroom Management to align material movements.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics for on-time delivery and shipment accuracy.
