Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage the movement of materials in and out of the facility, verify quantities, and prepare shipments with accuracy. You will log receipts in the ERP/MRP system and ensure proper labeling and documentation for each shipment.

The role requires familiarity with FedEx Ship Manager or UPS WorldShip, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining a neat, organized

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (electronics/manufacturing preferred).
• Familiarity with ESD handling, barcoding, and labeling standards for electronic assemblies.
• Experience using FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Excel, Word, email) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies; escalate issues to Materials or Quality teams as needed.
• Log receipts into the ERP/MRP system and move materials to appropriate departments.
• Prepare and package finished PCB assemblies and components for shipment with proper labeling and documentation.
• Generate shipping labels and documentation using FedEx, UPS, and customer portals.
• Schedule carrier pickups and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain an organized shipping and receiving area and proper storage of materials.
• Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and material movement transactions.
• Coordinate with production control, purchasing, and quality to resolve shipping/receiving issues quickly.
