Maersk is seeking a Global Operations Support professional in the United States to oversee end-to-end international shipments, ensuring compliance with import/export regs and coordinating with global partners. The role requires expertise in international transportation, customs processes, carrier management, and shipment visibility across all modes.

You will work Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, supporting quotations, documentation, and billing while maintaining strong customer relationships

Competenze

• Experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of import/export processes and Incoterms.
• Familiarity with customs brokerage and international shipping documentation.
• Experience with ocean/air freight, drayage, and related movements.

Mansioni

• Prepare and manage quotations for international air and ocean freight shipments.
• Coordinate shipments under various Incoterms, understanding responsibilities of buyers/sellers.
• Arrange and monitor import/export shipments from origin through final delivery.
• Work with overseas agents, freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, drayage providers, terminals, and warehouses.
• Manage customs clearance activities and coordinate with customs brokers to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Execute and monitor in-bond movements, IT, T&E, and ITT shipments.
• Prepare, review, and validate shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, B/L, notices, customs docs).
• Track and communicate shipment status, exceptions, delays, and resolutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate container pickups, deliveries, and drayage services for timely freight movement.
• Audit operational costs, close shipment files, and ensure accurate customer billing.
• Maintain knowledge of international trade regulations, tariff classifications, and transportation best practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, carriers, agents, and service providers.
