Job summary

ProTrans Indianapolis seeks a Logistics Coordinator to manage transactional work for accounts, partnering with carriers and internal teams to drive improvements in supply chain performance. The role serves as the day-to-day customer service contact at the plant level and supports reporting, billing, and plan adjustments to optimize the customer experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of industry experience within logistics and supply chain or a bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation or business-related field.
• Experience with web-based BI tools and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally within ProTrans International network.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with TL carriers to confirm pickups and deliveries, exceptions and perform check calls in ProTrans’ TMS System.
• Facilitate border crossing operations with Border Crossing team and notify customers of any customs deviations.
• Arrange expedite shipment needs and communicate with the Expedite team.
• Assist customer plants with daily operational issue resolution.
• Escalate service level issues to Operations Manager.
• Communicate holiday schedules to customers and internal adjustments.
• Ensure customers are aware of exceptions in performance and delays.
• Distribute daily, weekly, monthly reports as needed.
• Work with Accounts Receivable to secure timely billing.
