Covington & Burling LLP seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to support Commercial Litigation and International Disputes practices. You will partner with practice leadership and the Marketing and BD team to shape strategies, client engagement, and external communications.

The role involves working with lawyers across offices to translate priorities into actionable plans, manage budgets, and lead client development initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in professional services marketing and business development; law firm experience preferred.
• Experience supporting commercial litigation and/or international disputes is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to build credibility with attorneys.
• Strong initiative, judgment, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute business development and marketing strategies for assigned practices.
• Translate practice priorities into actionable BD plans with clear objectives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, BD, and global offices to drive strategy and execution.
• Plan and manage client development trips and target opportunities.
• Prepare tailored pitches, proposals, RFIs, and RFP responses with lawyers and the global RFP team.
• Support relationship management and onboarding of lateral attorneys.
