Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Licensing professional to join the Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs team. This remote-friendly role reports to the Director, Global Licensing and Regulatory Programs and focuses on state licensing, reporting, and regulatory filings across the U.S.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, product, finance, and tax to ensure timely filings and scalable licensing operations in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of licensing/compliance/regulatory experience in consumer financial services.
• Outstanding time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Proven project management, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support new product and service launches related to state licensing and reporting including money transmission, servicing/collections, lending, international expansion, etc.
• Work cross-functionally with legal, public affairs, compliance, finance, tax to meet regulatory licensing and reporting obligations
• Maintain the central repository for licensing and reporting obligations for new license types including workflows, regulatory guidance, etc.
• Collaborate with Licensing team to interpret, prepare, and submit state licensing annual reports, MSB call reports, and other regulatory obligations
• Ensure timely regulatory filings, call out any licensing issues, supervise ongoing regulatory obligations in licensing management tool
• Lead ongoing preparation of renewal applications and other forms to be filed in various licensing jurisdictions
• Collaborate on NMLS licensing, reporting, and other regulatory filings
• Analyze and develop new processes, leveraging AI, to increase efficiency within the licensing program
• Assist Department in the research and build of licensing requirements into the licensing management tool
• Coordinate with senior leadership to fulfill ongoing state licensing requirements
• Partner with team on any licensing projects and initiatives
