Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company seeking a seasoned licensing, compliance, and regulatory professional to join the Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs team. You will guide licensing strategies, coordinate multi-team efforts, and ensure timely filings across U.S. jurisdictions.

The role reports to the Director of Global Licensing and Regulatory Programs and emphasizes independence, critical thinking, and proactive process improvement in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of licensing/compliance/regulatory experience in consumer financial services.
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support new product and service launches related to licensing and reporting.
• Coordinate with legal, public affairs, compliance, finance, and tax on regulatory obligations.
• Maintain licensing and reporting repository, including workflows and guidance.
• Prepare renewal applications and regulatory filings across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate on NMLS licensing, reporting, and other regulatory filings.
• Identify opportunities to improve licensing processes using AI.
• Support integration of licensing requirements into the licensing management tool.
