Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company seeking a Licensing, Compliance, and Regulatory Programs specialist to support state licensing, reporting, and regulatory filings across the U.S. You will work closely with Legal, Compliance, Public Affairs, and Finance to ensure timely submissions and ongoing obligations.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and ownership of licensing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of licensing/compliance/regulatory experience ideally related to consumer financial services.
• Outstanding time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Proven project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support new product and service launches related to state licensing and reporting.
• Collaborate with legal, public affairs, compliance, finance, and tax on licensing obligations.
• Maintain the central repository for licensing and reporting obligations and guidance.
• Prepare and submit state licensing annual reports and MSB call reports.
• Ensure timely regulatory filings and monitor licensing issues in the licensing tool.
• Lead renewal applications and filings across licensing jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with senior leadership to fulfill ongoing state licensing requirements.
• Leverage AI to increase efficiency in the licensing program.
• Contribute to licensing project initiatives and research licensing requirements.
