Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Proofreader – Global Labeling to ensure 100% accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistency of labeling and packaging graphics for medical devices.

Responsibilities include verifying artwork packages, adhering to GDP, collaborating with labeling engineers and regulatory affairs, proofreading labels and regulatory symbols, and supporting regulatory alignment with FDA EU MDR. Prior experience in regulated packaging is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Life Sciences, or related technical discipline preferred
• 2+ years proofreading experience in regulated environments
• Experience in medical device/pharma packaging preferred
• Familiarity with GDP and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

• Verifies complete documentation packages for artwork releases, ensuring all inputs and translations are aligned
• Adheres to GDP and maintains audit-ready records in the QMS
• Confers with document originators, labeling engineers, regulatory affairs, and engineering to resolve packaging discrepancies
• Proofreads labeling, ISO symbols, and regulatory data to ensure zero defects
• Supports updating global labeling components to comply with changing regulations (FDA, EU MDR)
• Leads proofreading within project timelines to ensure alignment between source and proofs
• Assists with Change Control by routing change packages via PLM/document control systems
• Performs other labeling compliance and QA duties to support global supply chain readiness
