Job summary

MetLife seeks a seasoned Head of L&D – Global Technology & Operations to drive workforce capability and readiness across the enterprise. Located in New York, Bridgewater, or Cary, the role partners with HR leadership and executives to translate strategy into measurable capability priorities that accelerate performance and adoption of AI-enabled skills.

The leader will set data‑driven roadmaps for leadership, functional, and AI capabilities, ensuring initiatives scale and align with enterprise

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in learning, organizational capability, or workforce development.
Ability to diagnose root causes of performance gaps beyond training needs.
Strong consultative and executive influence with senior HR and business leaders.
AI fluency across the L&D lifecycle and enabling AI adoption.

Responsibilities

Lead diagnosis of workforce readiness and capability gaps in partnership with HR.
Create data‑driven capability roadmaps spanning leadership, human skills, and AI‑related skills.
Oversee delivery of workforce capability development across Global Technology & Operations.
Manage partnerships with HR and business leaders as a consultative advisor.
Develop applied development and change enablement approaches embedded in day‑to‑day work.
Coordinate enterprise and delivery partners to ensure quality, adoption, and impact.
