Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Head of Learning & Development for Global Technology & Operations. The role, located in New York, NY, Bridgewater, NJ, or Cary, NC, leads enterprise learning strategy, partnering with HR and executives to shape capability priorities that drive measurable performance outcomes.

Hybrid role with responsibilities across leadership development, AI-enabled skills, and organizational effectiveness to enable faster readiness and sustained execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in learning, organizational capability, or workforce development roles.
• Diagnostic and systems thinking to identify root causes of performance gaps beyond training needs.
• Strong consultative and executive influence skills with senior HR and business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnosis of workforce readiness and capability gaps in partnership with HR leaders, aligned to priorities and AI adoption.
• Create data-driven capability roadmaps spanning leadership, human skills, functional capabilities, and AI-related skills.
• Oversee delivery of workforce capability development across Global Technology & Operations, ensuring adoption and impact at scale.
• Manage partnerships with HR and business leaders as a consultative advisor aligned to strategy and execution needs.
• Develop applied development, performance support, and change enablement approaches embedded into day-to-day work.
• Coordinate enterprise and delivery partners to ensure execution quality and local relevance.
