Job summary

MPI in San Francisco is seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with all departments and deliver practical people support aligned with business needs in the Financial Services space. You will guide day-to-day HR activity, support policies and processes, and collaborate with Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Compensation & Benefits teams to drive consistency and value across the organization.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a generalist HR Business Partner or HR Manager role within technology, start-up/scale-up or financial services.
• Strong understanding of full employee lifecycle and core HR best practices.
• Proven ability to partner with managers and senior stakeholders and provide practical HR advice.
• Ability to operate in a lean HR environment, taking ownership and delivering both operational and strategic support.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, delivering practical advice across the employee lifecycle.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and support them with people-related challenges.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
• Support managers in developing people management capabilities and navigate complex situations.
• Ensure HR processes are delivered consistently and efficiently across the organization.
• Oversee core HR processes and lifecycle activities, including onboarding/offboarding and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Payroll, TA and C&B teams while the HRBP team remains the point of contact.
• Contribute to wider people projects, organizational development and policy improvements.
