Job summary

Spire is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to join the Global HR team in Washington, DC. You will own global onboarding and day-to-day HR administration, partnering with employees and managers to deliver a consistent experience across regions.

You will maintain accurate HR records, support lifecycle events, and coordinate with Talent Acquisition, IT, Payroll, and other stakeholders. This hybrid role requires 2–5 years of HR experience and knowledge of U.S. employment law.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of HR Generalist, HR Operations, or People Operations experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance requirements.
• Strong experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling strongly preferred.
• High degree of accuracy in maintaining employee documentation and HR data.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation across cultures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced environments; tech or aerospace experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the global onboarding process and ensure a consistent, organized experience for new employees across regions.
• Coordinate pre-onboarding activities with Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, IT, Payroll, and other stakeholders.
• Manage onboarding communications and conduct new hire check-ins for consistency.
• Track onboarding milestones, required documentation, and outstanding actions; resolve issues promptly.
• Process routine employee changes in HR systems, maintain accurate records, and support lifecycle events.
• Administer Form I-9 and applicable right-to-work verification requirements.
• Coordinate access to labor law notices for remote U.S. employees.
• Support global HR initiatives and system enhancements with the Global HR Operations team.
