Job summary

Vir Biotechnology, Inc. seeks an experienced Director, Clinical Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for global oncology clinical trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field and 12+ years of clinical development experience.
• Extensive experience leading complex global oncology clinical trials in biotech/pharmaceuticals.
• Experience leading first‑in‑human and early‑development oncology trials (dose‑escalation, backfill, expansion).
• Experience managing CROs and vendors across global clinical development programs.
• Strong understanding of FDA, EMA, ICH‑GCP regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clinical Operations for one or more global oncology trials with accountability for timelines, budget, quality, and milestones.
• Oversee CROs, vendors, and Study Management Teams to drive strategy and execution.
• Develop and execute global site and enrollment strategies including investigator engagement and site activation.
• Support regulatory submissions and inspection readiness activities, including sponsor oversight visits.
