Job summary

Vir Biotechnology, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Scientist, to lead oncology clinical studies in partnership with operations, data, and regulatory teams.

This onsite role at the San Francisco headquarters emphasizes study startup, execution, data review, and reporting through key milestones. The candidate will contribute to protocol development, data interpretation, and regulatory submissions, with a focus on delivering high-quality insights and collaborating across functions

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years of oncology clinical research experience.
• Experience in design, conduct, and analysis of oncology clinical trials.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and the clinical drug development process.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Clinical Scientist for oncology studies, supporting startup, execution, data review, and reporting activities.
• Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Medical Monitoring, Data Management, Biostatistics, Regulatory, and other teams to support successful study conduct.
• Contribute to protocol and informed consent development, including authoring, review, and resolution of cross-functional feedback.
• Perform ongoing clinical data review, identify trends and potential issues, and collaborate with study teams to ensure high-quality data.
• Support site-facing activities, including investigator meetings, study training, and responses to protocol-related questions.
• Contribute to the preparation and review of clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, safety reports, and other clinical documents.
• Participate in the review and interpretation of emerging clinical data and support study analyses and presentations.
