Job summary

News Corp's Legal department is seeking a senior operations leader to build and scale the Legal Operations function globally. You will establish strategy, manage budgets including outside counsel, and optimize AI-enabled tools across CLMs, e-billing, and IP management to deliver measurable efficiency and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of operations experience, with at least 5 years in Legal Operations.
• Experience building a Legal Operations function from inception is strongly preferred.
• Law degree optional; emphasis on operational excellence and project management.

Responsibilities

• Build a Legal Operations function and multi-year strategy.
• Support strategic planning and track department goals and milestones.
• Assist with legal budgeting, outside counsel spend, and value-based fees.
• Oversee tech stack selection and AI integration for global legal ops.
• Drive global scaling and change management with international teams.
• Manage vendor relationships, RFPs, and performance with law firms/ALSPs.
• Coordinate privacy workflow improvements and contract-related processes.
• Develop knowledge assets like templates, playbooks, and training materials.
• Collaborate with M&A teams on integration opportunities.
