Job summary

Dow Jones & Company, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Legal Operations leader to build and scale the function. You will report to the General Counsel and join the Legal leadership team, shaping the multi-year strategy and driving efficiency across global teams.

You will manage the legal budget, optimize outside counsel spend, and drive data-driven transformation with CLMs, AI, and agentic tools. Collaboration with international regions and vendors will be key to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of operations experience in a global setting.
• At least 5 years specifically within a Legal Operations function.
• Law degree is valuable but not required.
• Deep experience with enterprise legal management software and AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build a Legal Operations function from inception and set a multi-year strategy.
• Lead budgeting, outside counsel spend, and value-based fee arrangements.
• Oversee technology stack including CLMs, e-Billing, IP management, and AI integration.
• Drive global process harmonization with regional legal teams and change management.
• Manage vendor relationships with law firms and ALSPs; conduct RFPs as needed.
• Coordinate knowledge management, templates, and training materials.
• Support M&A initiatives and integration efforts.
