Dow Jones seeks a Head of Legal Operations to build and scale a global Legal Ops function. You will set multi‑year strategy, manage the budget and external counsel spend, and drive technology adoption across CLM, e‑Billing, IP management, and AI tools.

The role partners with a distributed legal team, reports to the General Counsel, and requires 12+ years in operations with 5+ in Legal Ops, plus a JD or MBA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of operations experience, with at least 5 years in Legal Operations.
• Experience building or scaling a Legal Operations function in a global context.
• Experience managing budgets, external counsel spend, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Legal Operations function for Dow Jones.
• Develop and execute multi-year strategy and roadmap for the department.
• Oversee budgeting, spend management, and process improvements across the legal stack.
• Drive technology adoption (CLM, e-Billing, AI tools) and data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed legal team to harmonize processes.
