Job summary

loanDepot, Inc. is seeking a leader to define and operationalize the enterprise governance framework for data assets, AI/ML models, and AI agents.

You will scale governance across data lifecycles, risk controls, and regulatory readiness while partnering with Legal, Risk, Security, Architecture, and business areas to enable secure innovation. You will chair governance forums, own policy standards, and drive adoption of a trusted data product approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 10+ years in governance.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing governance programs.
• Proven ability to build centralized Data & AI Governance teams and roadmaps.
• Strong executive presence and cross-functional influence.
• Experience translating governance policy into operational controls.

Responsibilities

• Defines and leads enterprise Data & AI Governance strategy, policies, and framework.
• Establishes scalable governance across policy, stewardship, and technical controls.
• Translates regulatory and risk requirements into practical governance workflows.
• Chairs governance forums reviewing material risks, gaps, and remediation priorities.
• Owns enterprise data governance standards for data classification, access, and encryption.
• Defines governance across metadata, lineage, quality, and data catalogs.
• Leads data quality governance, data lifecycle, and trusted data product initiatives.
• Ensures AI/ML governance overseeing model inventory, validation, and monitoring.
• Partners with Legal, Risk, Security, and CTO/CIO to embed governance in workflows.
• Drives data literacy and adoption of governance practices across the organization.
