Job summary

Hw3 Llc is partnering with a commercial bank to hire a Vice President of AI Governance. You will help design and operationalize the enterprise AI governance framework spanning AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and advanced analytics across the organization.

You will work within the Enterprise AI Strategy & Transformation team to shape governance for use-case intake, risk assessment, gating, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.

Job description

HW3 is partnering with a commercial bank seeking a Vice President of AI Governance to help build and operationalize its enterprise AI governance framework.

Joining a growing Enterprise AI Strategy & Transformation team, you will shape how the bank evaluates, approves, deploys, and monitors AI solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity to build governance processes supporting AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and advanced analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the enterprise AI governance framework, operating model, standards, and controls.
• Establish processes for AI use-case intake, inventory management, risk assessment, technology gating and approvals.
• Govern the full AI lifecycle, from proof of concept through production monitoring, remediation and retirement.
• Develop controls covering data quality, privacy, explainability, human oversight, access, and auditability.
• Partner with Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Cybersecurity and Audit to support responsible AI adoption.
• Build reports and dashboards to track AI adoption, risk exposure, control effectiveness, and business value.
• Assess AI platforms and vendors against enterprise security, compliance, and operational requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across AI governance, data governance, model risk, technology risk, or related governance disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience implementing AI governance processes in enterprise environments.
• Direct experience supporting AI/GenAI initiatives, including LLMs, RAG, or advanced analytics.
• Strong understanding of AI, model, data, and operational risks, with the ability to translate policies into practical controls.
• Experience working across business and technology teams within a regulated industry; banking experience preferred.
• Familiarity with governance tooling, model registries, monitoring platforms, and cloud data/AI ecosystems.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
