Job summary

dv01 is building AI-powered data governance for structured finance, empowering transparency and safer lending. The Data Governance Lead will establish ownership, a data dictionary, quality metrics, and compliance controls across data domains.

This is an individual contributor role at first, with a path to a larger team, partnering with Data Engineering, Analysts, Product, and Legal to instrument and scale trustworthy data for AI products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data governance, data quality, or data management experience.
• Proven track record building programs from the ground up.
• Meticulous and exceptionally organized with attention to definitions and owners.
• Fluent in technical conversations; able to review SQL and data models.
• Hands-on governance using purpose-built tooling (BigQuery, dbt, Unity Catalog); Collibra/Alation count.
• Strategic mindset at AI/data governance intersection; scalable governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Scale AI-enabled data across datasets, clients, and products with trusted data.
• Own the Data Quality Framework and its metrics, set thresholds and drive improvements.
• Establish named data owners and stewards; ensure decisions stay current.
• Own Data Dictionary and business definitions across warehouse, product, and client views.
• Own Data Rights in Practice; enforce terms in the platform.
• Run It Like a Program: track commitments, escalate, and deliver with no initial team.
