Job summary

MedRisk LLC seeks a Director, Enterprise Data & Governance to lead data strategy, build a modern data platform, and establish data and AI governance. You will partner with Enterprise Architecture, Development, Infrastructure and Security, plus analytics leadership to align data products with business priorities.

Role requires steering data governance and AI governance functions, prioritizing data quality, privacy, and regulatory compliance while driving a multi-year roadmap for the enterprise

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise data, data platform, or analytics leadership, including 5+ years at director/VP level.
• Proven accountability for delivering and operating a modern cloud data platform or lakehouse.
• Experience building data/AI governance from the ground up.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH, SOC 2, or HITRUST in regulated environments.
• Ability to translate frameworks into operational policy and present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of the enterprise data lakehouse, including scope and transition to sustained operation.
• Define operating standards for reliability, availability, performance, data quality, and observability.
• Own cost profile of the platform and forecasting to keep spend predictable.
• Ensure platform complies with enterprise engineering standards for env management and production support.
• Lead the engineering leaders responsible for the platform and build the bench to sustain it.
• Manage delivery partners to accelerate delivery while maintaining standards.
• Own and evolve MedRisk's enterprise data strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Define strategy to transform data into a reusable enterprise asset across domains.
• Establish portfolio of data products with owners, contracts, and quality standards.
• Develop external data acquisition strategy including licensing and terms.
• Deliver AI/ML-ready data assets for model development.
• Define and maintain governance standards for data classification, usage, stewardship, and lifecycle.
• Establish metadata, catalog, lineage, and semantic governance capabilities.
• Embed privacy/regulatory requirements in platform architecture with CISO, Legal, Compliance.
• Serve as internal owner for data governance audits and client due-diligence.
• Build and lead AI governance, with policy, review, and monitoring processes.
• Maintain inventory of AI systems and governance status in production and development.
