Job summary

TransPerfect is seeking a Director of Business Development to join our growth-focused team and drive client engagement, proposals, and deal closure. You will meet with prospects, craft cost estimates, and negotiate to maintain high client satisfaction.

Collaborating with Senior Project Managers on proposals and launches, you will pursue new business opportunities, monitor industry trends, and implement sales initiatives to expand our client base globally.

Qualifications

• At least 5-10 years of experience in business development.
• BS/BA required or equivalent work experience.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Internet and related technologies.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, be open to challenges, and thrive on success.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospects/clients and deliver sales presentations.
• Create customized project proposals and cost estimates.
• Negotiate and close deals while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
• Aggressively pursue new business opportunities with prospective as well as existing clients.
• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager during the creation of project proposals and launches.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in vertical markets/look for new ways to grow business within vertical markets.
• Develop and implement sales initiatives.
• Achieve sales quota to meet and exceed established minimum.
• Provide open, clear two-way communication at all corporate and client levels to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
