Job summary

Magna seeks an experienced General Ledger Lead to oversee a corporate finance/shared services team. You’ll manage month‑end close, journals, reconciliations, reporting, and audit readiness while driving standardization across entities.

You’ll lead a team of 10–15, coach staff, map processes, and scale capability. A strong SOX/control background and stakeholder management are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
• 8–10 years of GL accounting or finance shared services experience.
• Experience leading accounting teams and close processes.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, SOX, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead close activities: journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and calendar.
• Review reconciliations, account analyses, bank reconciliations, schedules.
• Support financial reporting, audit readiness, and documentation.
• Drive standardization, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement.
• Manage cross‑functional coordination and team development.
