Job summary

Clarity Recruiting is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist for a major financial services client— a multi-bank, multi-asset trading platform for OTC. The role provides 24x5 first- and second-line support and acts as a technical advisor to customers.

You will work with UNIX/Windows, review FIX/XML logs, troubleshoot orders and integration points, and coordinate with global teams for follow-the-sun coverage, including weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, technology, or STEM-related discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in client services, middle office, back office, global markets sales and trading, or FX/treasury.
• 3–5 years of experience in production support or application support.
• 3–4 years of experience with FX products, including swaps, forwards, and spot transactions.
• Ability to communicate technical and product information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line support for incoming customer queries via email, phone, or other communication channels related to the platform.
• Work with UNIX and Windows OS and use standard UNIX utilities to review FIX protocol and XML logs.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems with client orders, messaging errors, and logs.
• Manage and monitor technical integrations involving FIX, FTP/SFTP, OMS, and risk controls.
• Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation and escalate issues via Jira.
• Assist with go-live activities to ensure correct configuration and successful transactions.
• Handle service desk cases involving business and technical inquiries.
• Document work clearly in English and coordinate translations when needed.
• Collaborate with global client service teams for 24/7 follow-the-sun support, including weekends.
