Job summary

Goodwin’s Global Operations Team is hiring a Business Systems Analyst Co-op to support the analysis, testing, and documentation of the firm’s financial systems during a full-time 35-hour week from January 2027 through June 2027.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you’ll work with Finance, Billing, and Accounting, learning requirements gathering, process mapping, data validation, testing, and end-user documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the curiosity to ask questions.
• Clear written and verbal communication suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and Excel, including formulas, lookups, and pivots.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders and draft business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes with process/data flow diagrams and SOPs.
• Draft and maintain knowledge base articles and end-user job aids with the D&T User Support team.
• Write and execute test cases for system enhancements, patches, upgrades, and third-party integrations; log defects and coordinate UAT.
• Perform data audits and reconciliations between financial systems and downstream reporting.
• Assist with reporting requests, including reading basic SQL queries and drafting reporting specifications.
• Maintain project artifacts and assist with end-user training on financial systems.
