Job summary

Goodwin’s Global Operations Team is seeking a Research Analyst to provide expert legal and business research for attorneys and administrative staff. You will participate in onboarding, monitor the legal industry, and contribute ideas to Research Services and the firm.

You’ll leverage diverse information sources and research tools, develop training, and help maintain intranet resources. Teamwork and continuous learning are encouraged in a dynamic global setting.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited library school or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ professional research in private law firms, academic or special libraries.
• Expert knowledge of major information sources and research tools.
• Awareness of data analytics and AI impacts on research.

Responsibilities

• Delivers proactive, value-added research to attorneys and staff.
• Provides expert legal and business research using advanced tools.
• Maintains knowledge of knowledge-management resources to enhance outputs.
• Analyzes and presents findings to support decisions.
• Advises on research strategy and resource selection for efficiency.
• Manages research requests and ensures timely delivery.
• Develops training curricula and conducts onboarding sessions.
• Creates newsletters and alerts using news aggregators.
