Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in New York seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to partner with large financial services customers and AWS teams to craft scalable, resilient cloud architectures that address business problems and accelerate adoption of AWS services.

The role requires strong strategic thinking, ability to translate technology into business value, and experience with cloud adoption, SAP environments, and enterprise-scale infrastructures. Travel up to 20% may be discussed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
• Knowledge of SAP systems and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
• Experience with AWS or cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to ensure long-term success by helping harness the power of AWS services to accelerate their business.
• Formulate and execute a cloud adoption strategy that delights customers and builds relationships leading to revenue.
• Become a trusted advisor with deep knowledge of AWS services and share with clients and the wider AWS builder community.
• Act as the voice of the customer for AWS service teams to enhance the AWS platform.
• Develop reusable solutions with other SAs for common business and architectural problems.
• Educate customers by leading workshops and hands-on classes on AWS services.
• Build relationships with senior technical individuals to enable cloud advocacy.
• Contribute to customer-facing publications and speak at public events.
• Mentor and onboard new SAs.
