Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced technologists for Solutions Architect roles in the Boston area. You will partner with customers and AWS teams to craft scalable cloud architectures, drive adoption of AWS services, and translate technology into measurable business value.

The role involves engagement with global financial services customers, developing long-term cloud strategies, and mentoring other SAs. Travel up to 20% may be discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years in software domains (e.g. cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 4+ years of software development in Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, Go, or C/C++.
• 4+ years experience with IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK or Pulumi.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to enable long-term success by leveraging AWS services.
• Formulate and execute cloud adoption strategies to drive revenue and strengthen relationships.
• Become a trusted advisor with deep knowledge of AWS services, patterns, and best practices.
• Act as the voice of the customer to improve the AWS platform for services teams.
• Collaborate with other SAs to develop reusable cloud solutions.
• Lead workshops and hands-on classes to demonstrate AWS services.
• Build relationships with senior technical staff to create cloud advocates.
• Contribute to AWS publications and speak at events.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding and mentoring new SAs.
