Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Global Support and Services Technician to join the Global Service & Support team. You will play a key part in ensuring the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of equipment across marine and land-based industries, with approximately 30% travel worldwide.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years in field service, commissioning, industrial maintenance, or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Plan and execute field assignments independently, manage priorities, follow procedures, and escalate safety concerns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency with service management software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally ~30%, including overnight stays.
• Ability to work onboard vessels and at land-based facilities, adhering to safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical representative at customer sites, delivering exceptional service.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning, startup, maintenance, and service activities safely.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment.
• Provide technical guidance, operational support, and customer training.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and update service procedures to support operational excellence.
• Prepare accurate service and expense reports and follow up with customers.
• Contribute to quotations, spare-parts recommendations, and service proposals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve service delivery and identify improvements.
