Job summary

TRUMPF North America seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair TRUMPF CNC machines while building strong customer relationships. This role requires 100% nationwide travel, including overnight stays and some international travel.

Competitive pay range stated: $27.94–$44.24 per hour. Candidates must have an Associate's degree or technical training in Engineering, plus plus experience with electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems; a valid driver's license

Qualifications

Associate's degree or technical school in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience with electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful.
Must have and maintain a clean, valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Work closely with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within expected tolerance.
Provide diagnostic feedback to Product Support and document findings.
Use diagnostic tools and manuals to troubleshoot and repair TRUMPF CNC machines.
Assemble, install, align, and replace parts to maintain machinery operation.
Report technical conditions accurately to service management.
Interface with cross-functional teams including applications, sales, engineering, and production.
Provide onsite training to customers on operation and repair of machines.
