Job summary

Automated Industrial Robotics Rochester Hills seeks a Service Engineer to travel extensively and service complex robotics systems for our customers. You will perform on-site installation, alignment, testing, and ongoing maintenance to ensure peak performance and safety.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, clear communication with clients, and adherence to service documentation, with travel within the US and internationally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in machine building or field service; or another similar role.
• Must be able to travel within the US and internationally.
• Familiarity with FANUC robots is a plus.
• PLC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel 80% or more to customer facilities, including international assignments.
• Set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts for safety and performance.
• Align machines and equipment using precision tools to restore or improve operation.
• Assemble, install and configure complex machinery per engineering specs.
• Diagnose issues and replace defective parts promptly to minimize downtime.
• Safely dismantle and reassemble machines for maintenance or relocation.
• Provide clear updates and technical guidance to customers throughout service.
• Maintain accurate service records of work performed and parts used.
