Job summary

FANUC America Corporation is seeking a Field Service Engineer to diagnose and repair FANUC robots and automation systems across the Southeast. The role requires substantial travel, hands-on troubleshooting, and customer-facing collaboration.

You will perform onsite service, maintenance, and startup support, interpret schematics, and contribute to production recovery efforts while ensuring safety and quality in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Must have technical experience in robotics/automation/mechatronics or related field.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with PLC/industrial controls exposure.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair FANUC robots and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Support robot startups, maintenance activities, and production recovery.
• Work directly with customers to solve technical challenges.
• Document service activities and recommendations.
• Travel 80%+ throughout the Southeast region with 2–3 overnights per week.
