Job summary

Symrise AG seeks a Customer Service Representative to oversee the export order process from entry to shipment for both export and domestic customers. You will coordinate with Sales, Planning, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely documentation and compliant shipments.

Responsibilities include order confirmation, document preparation, invoicing, and handling inquiries. Fluency in Spanish and English, plus experience with ERP/CRM systems, are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required. College degree preferred.
• 3+ years of Customer Service experience within a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
• 3+ years of Export Order Management experience.
• Fluent Spanish/English written and verbal skills required.
• Experience with Logistics is highly desired and prioritized.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Experience with ERP (SAP/Oracle) and/or CRM (Salesforce, etc.). SAP knowledge preferred.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.
• Strong knowledge of export regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping docs.
• Familiarity with Incoterms.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on multiple projects.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with other departments.
• Experience with freight forwarders and customs brokers is a plus.
• Export compliance or logistics management certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receives and confirms orders for export and domestic markets, including order management and invoicing.
• Coordinates with Sales, Planning, Logistics, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth fulfillment.
• Prepares and submits export documents (invoices, packing lists, origin certificates, etc.).
• Works with Finance to handle credits, debits, LC, and special billing.
• Enters customer complaints and ensures follow-up with Sales and Quality.
• Facilitates COR2 issue resolution with Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Sales.
• Provides backup support to colleagues as required.
