Job summary

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience handling ocean or air import/export functions.
• One to three years of experience in a customer service environment.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced office.
• Good communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Candidate must possess a strong team work attitude.
• Leadership experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export trafficking functions, data entry and document distribution for customer export shipments.
• Process documents in compliance with US customs requirements and finalize billing.
• Review shipment status and report non-conformances.
• Maintain data tables, assist in accounting issues and respond to RFIs/RFQs.
• Prepare export declarations and Bills of Lading for Ocean Exports.
• Coordinate outbound movement of international freight shipments.
• Negotiate rates with third party carriers and understand Letters of Credit is a plus.
