Job summary

PSA BDP in Houston seeks an experienced Export Coordinator to manage ocean/air export workflows, data entry, and document distribution for customers. The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and strong communication to ensure compliant cargo handling and timely shipments.

Responsibilities include processing export documents, coordinating pickups, and maintaining rate/service communications with carriers. A college degree is preferred, and MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience handling ocean or air export functions.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• PC literate with MS Office applications and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export trafficking functions, data entry and document distribution for customer export shipments.
• Process documents in compliance with US Customs requirements and arrange pickup/delivery.
• Review daily shipment status reports and report non-conformances.
• Maintain data tables, assist with accounting issues and handle RFIs/RFQs.
• Prepare export declarations and Bills of Lading for ocean exports.
• Coordinate outbound movement of international freight shipments.
• Establish rates and services with third-party carriers; knowledge of Letters of Credit is a plus.
