Job summary

Legend Biotech US, based in Somerset, NJ, seeks an Associate Director of Executive Compensation to design and analyze compensation programs that drive growth and retention. This hands-on role partners with Finance and HR to deliver competitive rewards, including senior leadership pay and equity-based awards, across a global organization.

The role emphasizes market intelligence, benchmarking, and collaboration with regional teams to ensure governance and alignment with business strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• CCP or progress toward CCP preferred.
• 6–8 years of compensation/total rewards experience.
• Experience with compensation consulting firms preferred.
• Experience with compensation analysis, incentive design, and benchmarking.
• Exposure to executive compensation programs.
• Experience in global/publicly traded biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
• Advanced Excel: complex formulas, pivots; macros a plus.
• Experience with HR systems (Workday preferred).
• Strong analytical and modeling skills; data-to-insight.
• Executive presence and influencing without authority.
• Detail-oriented and delivery-focused.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and support short‑term and long‑term incentive programs.
• Partner with Finance and HR to align plans with performance and strategy.
• Conduct scenario modeling and financial impact analyses for leadership decisions.
• Support design, assessment, and administration of executive compensation programs.
• Perform benchmarking and pay mix analyses for leadership.
• Develop data-driven materials and recommendations for Compensation Committee.
• Assist with executive compensation reporting and governance documentation.
• Lead market intelligence and benchmarking for critical roles.
• Translate market insights into recommendations for talent attraction and retention.
• Support global compensation initiatives and pay structure reviews.
