International House Berkeley, known as I‑House, seeks an Events Services Specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute events on campus. You will be the primary contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring events stay on budget and meet client expectations.

This full-time role reports to the Director of Event Services and requires strong organization, customer service, and the ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in event planning, hospitality, catering, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to client inquiries and create rental agreements.
• Coordinate venue set up, catering, AV, and staffing.
• Manage event timelines and on-site execution.
• Ensure permits, insurance, and safety compliance.
• Oversee student staff schedules and training.
